Admissions
General Information
At Monroe YABC we serve two types of students:
(1) Transfer Students -- These are students who transfer from their current high school to Monroe YABC to complete their remaining graduation requirements. Once they're eligible for graduation, they are discharged back to their high school to receive their diplomas.
(2) Shared Instruction Students -- These are students who remain enrolled at their current high school but take additional classes at Monroe YABC in the late afternoon/evening. For some students, this provides them with an alternative to waiting till summer school to make up courses they had previously failed. For others, shared instruction allows them to the take the extra coursework necessary to qualify for an Advanced Regents Diploma. Shared Instruction could even provide students who want to graduate early with the means to do so.
